Don't let a burnt turkey ruin your Thanksgiving!

The time for turkey is here! This year, serve your family and friends a delicious turkey and not a charred meal. Here is what you should do if you find out your turkey is toast!

If You Are Frying Your Turkey...

Frying turkeys have become more popular, but also more dangerous. When cooking with 3 gallons of oil and burners, it could hazardous if not observed. Here ways to prevent dangers of frying turkey.

• Don’t put too much oil in the fryer to prevent overfilling.
• Always use your fryer outside, on an even surface, safe distance from anything flammable.
• Keep fire extinguishers nearby.
• Completely thaw the turkey before placing in a fryer.
• Never leave the fryer unattended.
• Never let children or pets near the fryer.
• Use well-insulated potholders or oven mitts when working around the fryer.

 If You Prefer Using The Oven...

If you are cooking your turkey in the oven, and your oven catches on fire, here is the tips on what to do.

• DO NOT OPEN THE DOOR! Leave the door closed and let the fire die out
• Don’t try to extinguish the fire with water.

 In Case of Emergencies...
